IDD Program Holds Quarter Finals for Pinewood Derby Races

Thanks to the Boy Scouts of Southwestern Pa for bringing the scouting program to Chartiers’ Program for adults with intellectual disabilities. Over the past couple months the individuals in the senior program have been busy working on designing their pinewood derby  boxcars.  Today was the quarter finals race to see who moves on to the final showdown. Representatives from the Boy Scouts came in to officiate the race and run the different heats. Meanwhile everyone sat around the “track” cheering on their car.
