Celebrating Our “Head Nurse” – Susan Coyle, RN, MPH, Chief Executive Officer
Sue joined the Chartiers Center team as the Chief Executive Officer in 2009 bringing with her many years of experience as a clinician and manager at Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic of UPMC. Sue is a registered Psychiatric Nurse and she holds a Masters in Public Health.
Sue has provided leadership in the development of many service innovations at Chartiers and she is especially passionate about providing programs that meet the needs of our consumers through an integrated and holistic approach. This includes the integration of mental health care and physical health care, attention to addiction treatment needs and the provision of community oriented services for individuals with an intellectual and developmental disability.
When needed, Sue is called upon to provide nursing support in our residential programs and she makes a point to visit the other day programs. As the “lead nurse” she sets the example for all to follow.
