Overdose Prevention

The nasal spray Narcan, is an anti-opioid drug to treat overdoses. Chartiers’ clinical staff will be trained and have access to this life saving drug for use in case of an emergency.
You may also find the “standing prescription” is available at your local pharmacy. Giant Eagle pharmacy will provide
narcan or naloxone without a script as they have standing prescriptions at the counter. The link above does provide a great deal of information on how to administer the medication, how it works and who it helps.
