Chartiers Center Opens Suboxone Clinic for Treatment of Substance Abuse

Jan 8, 2021

We are happy to announce that Chartiers Center Substance Abuse Outpatient Treatment Program will now be providing medication assisted treatment to include Suboxone.
The program is available to those who have displayed a need for substance abuse treatment services and/or those who are diagnosed with a co-occurring mental health disorder and require Outpatient Services level of care. Dr. Boettcher will prescribe the medication and work with consumers during their outpatient treatment. Chartiers Center’s Substance Abuse Outpatient Clinic will continue to include individual counseling, family counseling, intensive outpatient programming, psychiatric evaluations and medication management. Services can be utilized as a step down from a higher level of care, or as a first step in assisting a consumer who is experiencing a substance use disorder.
We accept consumers with all UPMC Health Plan products, Community Care Behavioral Health insurance, Highmark, Aetna, Medicare, and Gateway Medicare. Feel free to call and check on which insurances are accepted as not all are listed.
If you are interested in referring a new consumer to the program, please contact the main intake line at (412) 221-3302 x123. You or the consumer will be asked to complete a brief telephone screening and then an intake appointment will be scheduled. The intake appointment will consist of a more in-depth assessment of the current presenting concerns and the consumer’s readiness for change. Once this assessment is completed, the consumer will be placed in the appropriate level of care. During the consumer’s time in treatment, care will be coordinated with any other providers involved in the consumer’s life.
Chartiers Centers’ staff look forward to working with you in improving the lives of people who are wanting to participate in treatment and devlop a plan to enhance recovery. If you have any questions, or would like more information about the program, please feel free to contact us at (412) 221-3302.
