Yes, We Are OPEN and Providing Tele-Health Services

Apr 9, 2020

At Chartiers Center we are OPEN and providing tele-health services for your clinical care. To learn more, read the FAQ’s below. We are happy to report, consumers using the tele-health service have reported positive experiences and share the following: “Thankful to still be able to talk to my therapist and stay safe” “Relieved not to have to leave my home because I have a compromised immune system and still receive services” and “Eased my anxiety of not having to go outside.” If you are looking to begin services, or resume treatment, contact 412.221.3302, extension 123.
How are the therapist and doctor appointments being handled?
All individual appointments with the therapist and doctor are occurring by telephone.  In addition to the normal reminder calls/texts, you will receive a call from staff reminding you that the therapist/doctor will be calling you for your appointment instead of having to come in to the office.
 How are injections being handled?
If you receive your medication by injection, you will need to come to the office in the usual manner. You will receive the normal reminder calls.  When you arrive at the office, you will be asked to go to the third floor waiting room, which will be empty.  The nurse, who is masked and gloved, will then have you enter the room and will immediately complete the injection. You will then proceed to the Registration Desk and schedule the next appointment.
How are groups being handled?
Groups are being conducted through HIPAA compliant tele-health.  You therapist will give you instructions about how to join the group.
How do I contact my therapist, service coordinator or rehab professional?
You can contact your therapist, service coordinator, housing professional or rehab professional in the usual manner. While the therapists are not in the office, they have forwarded their telephones to their current locations for ready access.  The service coordinators, housing professionals and rehab professionals can be contacted on their mobile phones in the usual manner.  If any staff are not immediately available, you can leave a message and your call will be returned in a timely manner.  If you have an emergency, please contact 412.221.3302, extension 0.
Are you still open and providing services?
Yes!  We are classified as an essential service and are operating most services.  Our IDD Day Program and T&SR Program are temporarily closed but all other services continue to operate.  If you are looking to begin services, you can contact 412.221.3302, extension 123 and we will get the process started with you; everything will be completed over the telephone.  If you are already in services, please contact your therapist, service coordinator, housing professional or rehab professional in the usual manner.  If they are not immediately available, you can leave a message and your call will be returned in a timely manner.  If you have an emergency, please contact 412.221.3302, extension 0.
